Daina and her best friend Vanessa Dew, and husband Justin Trout, started an “entrepreneur club” to brainstorm potential ideas to pursue. They decided on selling a natural hair loss-prevention product before they stumbled into kombucha as their calling. Daina and her co-founders began brewing batches of kombucha in her apartment, selling it at local farmers markets, and eventually grew Health-Ade into one of the fastest-growing brands in its category.
In 2022, the company will sell in more than 65,000 stores, generating over $150 million.
